Factors affecting the use of chemical resistant gloves


There are many factors affecting the use of chemical-resistant gloves, including the type of chemicals they are exposed to, the type of protective gloves, the environment in which they are used, and so on. More attention should be paid to the use of labour protection gloves.

First of all, evaluate the hazards of the chemical substance in question, the environment in which it is used, and the work performed. Chemical hazards, their toxicity level, the type of health effects, and the severity of the effects are all taken into consideration. The more toxic the chemical substance is, the more serious the hazard, and the more care must be taken in selecting the appropriate chemical-resistant gloves. Also consider the work to be performed, including the duration, frequency and degree of exposure to the chemical substance, the degree of dexterity required, and the physical forces encountered.  

Next, choose a glove material that protects against the chemicals being handled. In terms of selection criteria, suitable gloves, that is, gloves that do not deteriorate significantly after contact with the chemical substance, have a relatively long penetration time and a small penetration rate under the conditions of use.  

Consideration should also be given to other factors in the use of the glove that may affect its protective properties. If required, tests are carried out under specific working conditions.
